Pet-Vet Supply, Grooming Salon and Animal Clinic will be closed to celebrate the 4th of July!  We will resume normal business hours on Monday July 6th!

In 1983, Ray and Dorothy Mussatto along with their son Tony Mussatto, started a small animal health supply business called Midwest Farm and Home Supply on SE 29th Street in Midwest City.  Ray had retired from Montgomery Ward after forty two years of service and after three years of retirement, he decided to open his own business.  He had a love for animals, especially horses, and he recognized the need for an animal supply store in the Midwest City area.  With only his son and a close friend, Jean Norton, Ray used his extensive business knowledge acquired from his many years at Ward’s and combined it with his passion for animals and started his own small business that still thrives today.

The business began to make a major transformation after only two years in business, from a focus on cattle and horses to dogs and cats.  In 1987, the store doubled in size due to its sales growth.  Midwest Farm and Home Supply became Pet-Vet Supply, Inc in 1990 and doubled in size once again.  Its new name more accurately reflected the “new store.” At this time, all large animal product were replaced with not only dog and cat food but just about any product consumers would need for their pets.

Over the past decade, Pet-Vet has continued to make improvements to maintain a strong business.  It moved to its present location on SE 15th and enlarged for a third time in 2001.  Fish and reptiles were added to make Pet-Vet Supply a full-line pet store.  Within six months of business at its new location, Pet-Vet Supply opened Pet-Vet Animal Clinic and now has two full time veterinarians on staff.  Dr Kim has been a valued and respected member of our team since 2004.  In 2009, we expanded the services offered by opening Pet-Vet Grooming Salon under the leadership of Carrie Davenport.  Pet-Vet welcomed its second vet Dr Denise Fruitt in fall of 2010.  Pet-Vet Supply owners, its manager and its employees strive to carry out Ray Mussatto’s original business plan with pride.  We appreciate all of our loyal customers and will continue to strive to provide exceptional service to anyone who walks in our doors.
