October 11-17 is National Veterinary Technician Week so in honor of that I am sitting down with each of awesome vet techs and getting to know a little more about each of them. Pet-Vet Animal Clinic would not be running as smoothly as it does without these great people and we are so thankful for them. As long as they aren’t coming to get me to give me shots or pills, we are BFFs!
The first tech we are starting with is Jamie Shatswell! Here is what I found out about her while sporting my awesome Pumpkin Costume that everyone needs:
Jamie has worked here for 2 years in September! She went to Midwest City High School and got her associates at Rose State College in general studies. She says she always wanted to work with animals since she was little and then her dream came true. She had started coming here as a client back in 2011 and when we put out the ad for a technician, she knew this was where she wanted to be! She says she was originally a cat lady, she had 3 cats ranging in age from 4 to 7 years old, but that changed once she got Princess, her 6 1/2 year old Schnauzer. She says the one place that she would like to visit would be Japan to eat good food and because she could see all the Anime she ever wanted!
